Scott Youngblood has over two decades of experience in various roles in the television and live event industries. Scott began their career as a Production Technician at Montgomery Community Television Inc., where they gained experience in technical directing, CG operation, audio operation, tape operation, floor directing, camera operation, and teleprompter operation. Scott then transitioned to the role of Post-Production Coordinator at the same company, where they oversaw post-production activities for several local programs.
In 1998, Youngblood began freelancing as a Video Editor and Motion Designer, working with clients such as the Washington Commanders, University of Maryland Athletics, St. John's University Athletics, DC United, Rockland Boulders, and The MediaWorks. During this time, they also started working as a Gameday Video Director for the Washington Commanders, where they directed in-house video production for the team on gameday and special events at FedExField.
Youngblood's next role was as a Technical Director, Scoreboard Productions at the Washington Nationals in 2007. Scott then joined the University of Maryland in 2002 as a Director and Technical Director for TerpVision gameday productions, as well as directing and technical directing for university commencements and "The Gary Williams Show." In 2007, they began working as a Freelance Director, Technical Director, and Motion Designer for The MediaWorks, LLC, focusing on events for D.C. United.
In 2011, Youngblood became a Freelance Producer and Director for Van Wagner, where they directed various musical acts and worked on game presentation for sporting events, concerts, and live events. In 2017, they joined the Washington Nationals as a Director and Technical Director for NatsHD game presentation productions at Nationals Park, including serving as the Technical Director for MLB All-Star Week in 2018.
Youngblood's most recent roles include working as the MCTV Managing Producer at Montgomery College, where they supervise a team of staff producer/directors, and as the Director/Technical Director at Events DC.
Scott Youngblood received their Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications & Political Science from Towson University from 1991 to 1996. Prior to that, they attended C. Milton Wright High School, where they obtained their high school diploma. In addition to their formal education, Scott has also earned several certifications. These include Imparture Social Media Training from Imparture in August 2019, Dante Certification Level 1 and Level 2 from Audinate in April 2019, and Adobe Certified Expert: Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015 from Adobe.
