Karen Purtell-Freitas

Karen Purtell-Freitas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance and human resources. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at D.E. Shaw & Co. since June 2006, Karen previously held the position of Vice President at The Bank of New York Mellon from 1994 to 2006. Earlier in Karen's career, experience included a role as a Human Resources Representative at The New York Public Library from 1992 to 1994.
