Steven Bursztyn

Steven Bursztyn is a Vice President and Software Developer at The D. E. Shaw Group since June 2020. Previously, Steven served as the Head Teaching Assistant for CIS 121: Data Structures & Algorithms at the University of Pennsylvania from December 2017 to May 2020, managing a team of 30 TAs and overseeing course logistics for over 250 students. Steven also contributed as a Project Manager and Software Developer with Hack4Impact, and has held internships at Google and The D. E. Shaw Group, gaining diverse experience in software engineering and development. Steven earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania and has minors in Mathematics and Cognitive Science.
