Michael Stewart is the current Director at d-Matrix. Prior to this, they were a Partner at M12 - Microsoft's Venture Fund, and before that they were an Investment Director, Principal, and Board Observer at Applied Ventures LLC. Michael has also held positions as a Board Observer at Inworld AI, iDEAL Semiconductor, Rockley Photonics Inc., Antaios, Spin Memory, Inpria, BT Imaging Pty Ltd, Electroninks Incorporated, Halation Photonics Co., Ltd, Leading Edge Equipment Technologies, Digital Specialty Chemicals, and Persimmon Technologies Corporation. In addition to their work in the private sector, Stewart has also served as the Director of Solar Development for the Earth, Air, & Space Educational Foundation, and as a Senior Research Scientist for Intel Corporation. Michael began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate for Rice University's DARPA Molectronics Program.

Michael Stewart has a MBA from the University of California, Berkeley - Walter A. Haas School of Business, a PhD from Purdue University, and an AMP from Purdue University Krannert School of Management. Michael also has a diploma from the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts.
