Wendy Avila

Wendy Avila has a strong background in human resources management. Wendy began their career as a Payroll/Benefits Administrator at Harbor America in 2000 and eventually transitioned to the role of HR Manager. From 2003 to 2008, they worked as a Human Resources Manager at PBS Leasing, where they handled employee benefits and payroll administration for approximately 150 PEO clients. Wendy then moved on to Advanced Maritime Transports, Inc., where they served as a Human Resources Generalist for four years. In this role, they managed a broad range of HR functions, including policy development, employee relations, and benefits administration. Wendy was also appointed as the TSA Principal Security Coordinator. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as the Human Resources & Expense Cycle Manager at Advanced Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, overseeing HR functions, payroll, and accounts payable. Most recently, Wendy worked at DW Morgan LLC, where they held the positions of HR Manager and then Director of Human Resources. In these roles, they were responsible for managing day-to-day HR functions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing HR support to all team members.

Wendy Avila obtained a Diploma in Business Administration from North Harris College in 2003. Additionally, they completed the Business Administration Diploma program at the Glasscock School of Continuing Education, Rice in 2009, as well as the CPP Training program at North Harris College. Furthermore, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in June 2010 and again in July 2013.
