Andrew King began their work experience as a Visiting Researcher at ITI in 2008. Andrew then served as an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at Columbia University from 2009 to 2011 before becoming a Postdoctoral Researcher at Simon Fraser University from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, they joined D-Wave Systems Inc. as an Optimization Algorithms Researcher and eventually progressed to roles such as Performance Research Team Lead, Principal of Performance Research, and most recently, Director of Performance Research in 2020.
Andrew King has a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Victoria, an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from McGill University.
