Kelsey Hamer

Kelsey Hamer is a senior research developer at D-Wave Systems Inc. since April 2016, where the focus is on leading technical efforts for the Hybrid Solver Service and managing benchmarking and research infrastructure. Prior experience includes a role as a Bioinformatician/Software Developer at UBC - Shah Lab from June 2013 to January 2015, where Kelsey led the Genome Visualization project and developed an Elasticsearch plugin for next-generation sequencing data visualization. Previous positions also include a senior developer role at Adacado, where Kelsey contributed to the development of a business analysis platform for dynamic advertising, and as a lead programmer at UBC - Pavlidis Lab, where five iterations of a genetic expression meta-analysis tool were released. Kelsey holds a Bachelor's Degree in Math and Computer Science from Simon Fraser University and studied Mandarin at Běijīng guǎngbō xuéyuàn.
