Paola Tolentino Torchio

Paola Tolentino Torchio has a diverse work experience in various roles. Paola started their career at Ministerio de Industria y Comercio in 2012 as an External Trade Analyst, where they conducted economic analysis and prepared research papers related to the Dominican Republic's position in the world commercial market. In 2013, they joined WorldWide Seguros as an Actuarial Analyst, where they handled technical reserves, developed quotation tools for Life and Health products, and supervised financial statements' adequacy. Paola was later promoted to Senior Actuarial Analyst and then became the VP Actuarial, leading projects in reinsurance, finance, accounting, and budgeting for both the Holding and Operating Companies. Since 2019, Paola has been working at d1g1t Inc., initially as a Financial Engineer and then as a Lead Financial Engineer. In this role, they oversaw the development of new functionality within various modules and conducted client implementation and data integration projects. Paola also engaged with clients, conducted training sessions, and delivered product demos for senior management.

Paola Tolentino Torchio has a diverse education history. Paola obtained a Master of Financial Insurance degree from the University of Toronto in 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, which they attended from 2008 to 2012. In 2011, Paola also pursued a Diplomado in Mathematics for Economics and Finance from the Fundación para el Avance de las Matematicas (FAMA).

In addition to their formal education, Paola has completed several certifications. In 2017, they obtained the Leading People and Teams Specialization certification from Coursera. In 2015, they obtained certifications in Life Insurance Administration from Swiss Re and in Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera.
