Nagesh Shirali

Nagesh Shirali has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Nagesh started their career as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at Cadence Design Systems, Inc in 1990, where they worked on ASIC design tools and clock tree generation. Nagesh then moved on to Simplex Solutions, Inc, where they worked as a Senior Staff Engineer and was responsible for research and implementation of new products. At Sapphire Design Automation, Inc, they co-founded the company and served as the Director of Engineering, working on core algorithms for placement and optimization.

Nagesh continued their career at Precision Logic Design Systems, Inc, serving as the Director of Engineering, where they developed core algorithms for System in Package (SIP) software and was involved in designing and manufacturing a multi-vendor multi-die SIP for a VDSL modem. Nagesh then joined Cadence Design Systems, Inc again as a Senior Member of the Consulting Staff, focusing on signal integrity optimization and architecture optimization.

After that, Nagesh worked as a Consultant at Happy Hippo Inc., where they contributed to the development of a personal health care service, including the design and implementation of a web server and mobile apps. Nagesh also worked as a Consultant at Siprosys Inc, where they were involved in the release of an innovative post layout extraction tool.

In their next role at Mentor Graphics, Nagesh served as a Senior P&R Product Engineer, responsible for custom flow development and improving existing customer flows.

Most recently, Nagesh worked at Ganexa Inc. as a Software Engineer, where they developed an Android app and backend server, optimization software, and a Macro Placer.

Currently, Nagesh is working at D2S Inc. as a Consultant.

Nagesh Shirali pursued their undergraduate education at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering. Following this, they enrolled at The University of Alabama from 1986 to 1987, where they completed their Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
