Elmer Brum

Elmer Brum is the Director of Information Technology at DAC. Prior to joining DAC, Elmer was the Network Operations Manager at WSI from June 2005 to December 2009. In this role, they managed up to 5 staff responsible for implementing IT systems and projects, maintaining the daily operations of the company’s computer network, telephone and communication services, and end user support. Elmer was also the Manager of the Oracle Technical team, coordinating all activities including implementations, issue resolution and patching, solution development, system backups and restore, as well as system administration.

Before joining WSI, Elmer was the IT Project Manager & Consultant at StreetsofCanada.com from November 2003 to May 2005. In this role, they were the Project Manager for the development of a complex custom web application. Elmer prepared system specifications, designed the system processes and user interfaces, and recruited web software developer. Elmer worked closely with the developer to ensure the customer’s requirements were being met and that the project was within budget and project completion time lines.

Elmer began their career in 1996 as a Network Administrator at Mattel Canada Inc. Elmer held this position until 2003 when they left to become a Restaurants Manager at McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Limited. Elmer held this position until 1994 when they left to join WSI.

Elmer has been in the IT industry for over 20 years and has experience in both management and technical roles. Elmer has a proven track record of successful project management and implementing IT systems and solutions. Elmer is a highly motivated individual who is always looking for new challenges and ways to improve their skills.
