María José San Martín has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in strategic planning, digital integration, branding, and communications. María José is currently the Head of Digital at DAf since September 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Strategic Planner at MediaInteractive Latam from February to November 2022. María José also has experience as an Independent Consultant, where they collaborated with consultants from different areas on branding projects for startups, conducted workshops for brand development, and provided expertise on SEO tools and visual identity.

Previously, María José worked as the Strategy & Research Director at Havas from April 2018 to February 2020. María José also served as a Jury member for the Festival of Media in October 2018. Before that, they held different roles at Havas Media Group, including Strategy Director, Digital Integration and Content Director, Social Media Content Director, Social Media Leader, and Community Manager & Social Media Analyst.

María José's earlier experience includes working as a Communications Consultant at Centro de Estudios en Seguridad Ciudadana (CESC), Universidad de Chile, from August 2012 to April 2013, and as an Associate at La Tercera from January 2011 to April 2013.

María José San Martín has a diverse education history. From 2004 to 2009, they attended the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where they pursued a degree in Journalism from the Facultad de Comunicaciones. In 2013, they completed a diploma in Marketing from the same university's Escuela de Administración. María José also obtained additional certifications in various fields. In 2014, they completed a course in Strategic Leadership from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. In 2015, they took a course in Management Control for Senior Management at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. In 2016, they pursued a course in Business Storytelling from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. In 2020, María José attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business for a Digital Transformation Program. In 2021, they completed a Customer Experience (CX) course at the Facultad de Economía y Negocios - Universidad de Chile. During their education journey, María José also obtained their Enseñanza Básica y Media degree from Dunalastair School, where they studied from 1990 to 2003.

Aside from their academic achievements, María José has also acquired additional certifications. In August and September 2023, they obtained three certifications: "Midjourney: Tips and Techniques for Creating Images" and "Generative AI for Business Leaders" from LinkedIn, as well as "How to Research and Write Using Generative AI Tools" from LinkedIn.
