Dong Tran has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Dong is currently working as the Senior Director for Health and Well-being Services at Dai-ichi Life Vietnam. Prior to this, Dong worked at Sylvan Learning as a Marketing Advisor and later as the Chief Marketing Officer. Dong also served as the Director and Head of Digital Marketing & Online Business at Generali Vietnam Life Insurance, where they were responsible for digital marketing and platform management. Dong has held multiple positions at Ringier Vietnam, including Managing Director of Marry Network, Director of Directory Business, and Digital Media Director. Dong also worked at VNExpress as the Vice Director of Product and Marketing and at ANPHABE.COM as a Product & Community Manager. Dong's early career includes roles as a Product & Online Marketing Manager at Navigos Group and a Telecom Project Leader at Saigon Postel Corp.

Dong Tran completed a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology from 1998 to 2001. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Management Information Systems from Bach Khoa University (formerly Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology) from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, they obtained a Diploma in Web Development from Soongsil University in 2008.
