Detlev Boeing

Detlev Boeing has extensive experience in transport policy and European integration, serving as Transport Attaché at the Permanent Representation of Germany to the EU from 1991 to 1995, focusing on European transport policy across multiple sectors. Boeing has held senior roles, including Senior Lawyer and Team Leader at DAI for the European Union Integration Support Facility in Albania starting in January 2025. Previous positions include Policy Coordinator for the European Commission's DG NEAR, with responsibilities in coordinating Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo, as well as prior work on EU accession negotiations and transport policies. Earlier, Boeing worked as a Senior Civil Servant at the German Federal Ministry of Transport and has been involved in international and European maritime transport policy. Educational qualifications include a post-graduate degree in European policy and law from Europa-Institut, Saarland University, along with full legal qualifications from Saarland University.
