Ike Osakwe

Ike Osakwe has more than 40 years of management consulting experience. An expert in strategic and corporate planning, financial management systems, and public sector structures and processes, he has led corporate and organizational reform assignments throughout Nigeria and Africa.

Before joining the DAI Board, Ike served as the Managing Director of Lagos, Nigeria-based GRID Consulting, which was acquired by DAI in 2018. Under his stewardship, GRID became Nigeria’s leading development consultancy, specializing in financial advisory services, human resource management, and development program implementation. He had previously worked for companies including KPMG and Deloitte.

A champion of financial management systems as key to sustainable reforms, Ike has led and supported initiatives in financial management, strategic and corporate planning, organizational systems reviews, accounting systems development, and feasibility studies. He has designed and implemented financial management systems for the private and public sectors. In the past 20 years, he has been directly involved in reviewing and building health systems and capacity at the grassroots level across many states in Nigeria. He has served on several public commissions charged with improving the operations of government parastatals.

A graduate of Oxford University with a degree in chemistry, Ike is also a Chartered Accountant registered in both the United Kingdom and Nigeria, and currently serves as an independent director on the boards of three major Nigerian companies.
