Hayes Williams has a diverse background in data governance and information management. Hayes is currently serving as the Global Head of the Center for Data Governance at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. Prior to this, they held the role of Head of Data Governance, R&D at the same company.

Before joining Daiichi Sankyo, Inc., Williams worked at Celgene as the Director of Information Management & Data Governance. In this role, they managed the end-to-end data governance and information effort for the Clinical Operations functional area and successfully implemented key projects and capabilities.

Williams also gained valuable experience at Knowledgent, where they worked as an Informationist. Hayes led various data-related projects, including the creation of a data lake for a health insurance company to optimize data availability and revenue opportunities.

In the early stages of their career, Williams worked at Accenture as a Senior Manager in Technology. Hayes oversaw large-scale application development efforts for Fortune 500 accounts and played a crucial role in building an external SaaS clinical and operational data warehouse.

Additionally, Williams has research experience from their time at the Army Research Laboratory, where they served as a Research Associate. Hayes led a team in solving hardware and software problems and developed a novel methodology to reduce computational costs.

Hayes Williams received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from Lafayette College in 1988. Hayes then pursued a Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Delaware from 1988 to 1995. In terms of certifications, they became Alteryx Core Certified in January 2019, followed by Alteryx Advanced Certified in February 2019. Hayes also obtained the SAFe Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in 2016. Additionally, they completed the Data Science Specialization course on Coursera in 2015. Recently, in 2020 and 2021, Hayes acquired the DAMA CDMP Certification - Master, CDMP Master and Reference Data: Master Level, and Data Governance Exam: Master Level certifications from DAMA-I. Hayes also completed the Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging for All certification offered by LinkedIn.
