John Toso

John Toso, MD, MS, is an experienced leader in oncology and translational medicine with a robust background in biopharmaceutical development. Currently serving as Executive Director of Oncology R&D at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. since July 2021, Toso has previously held prominent roles at Janssen R&D and GlaxoSmithKline, where responsibilities included providing strategic support for early clinical development and advancing translational medicine initiatives. Toso's career began at the National Cancer Institute as a Research Fellow, followed by residency and fellowship training at Duke University. Toso holds an MD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a BA in Biology from Franklin & Marshall College.
