Gary Fairley

Gary Fairley has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Gary is currently working as the Business Director for FFKM and PTFE at Daikin America, Inc since July 2021. Prior to this, they held the role of Business Director for PTFE at the same company starting in September 2016. Gary also served as the Director of Fluoropolymers Business at Daikin America Inc. from February 2012 to September 2016.

Before joining Daikin, Gary held various positions at Lonza, starting as a Global Marketing Manager in 2008 and eventually becoming the Director of Marketing for the Global Strategic Marketing Group from June 2010 to February 2012. Gary also served as the Global Director of Marketing for Material Protection and Water Treatment at Lonza from February 2009 to June 2010.

Prior to their time at Lonza, Gary worked at Ciba Specialty Chemicals as the Director of Marketing from September 2005 to February 2009. Gary was also the Automotive Marketing Manager at Teknor Apex Company from June 2004 to September 2005.

Gary's career began at DSM Engineering Plastics North America, where they held various roles including Global Application Development Manager, Senior Application Development Manager, and New Business Development Manager from 1996 to 2004.

Gary started their career at DSM Research b.v. Europe, where they worked as a Researcher from September 1990 to September 1993 and later as a Research Group Leader from September 1993 to September 1995.

Gary Fairley obtained a Ph.D. in Macromolecular Science and Engineering from Université Laval from 1985 to 1990. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Western University, where they earned an H.B.Sc. in Physical Chemistry from 1980 to 1984. In addition, they obtained a certification in "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers" from LinkedIn in January 2021.
