Joseph Sunstrom

Joseph Sunstrom is a seasoned professional in the field of chemistry and materials science, currently serving as Principal Development Scientist and Senior Business Development Executive at Daikin America since October 2011. With expertise in technical marketing for energy storage, particularly in the electric vehicle sector, Joseph has led global initiatives in automotive energy storage and developed advanced electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries. Previous experience includes roles at Boston Scientific, Eagle Picher Technologies, Gillette, Duracell, Rutgers University, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where Joseph contributed to the development of innovative materials and techniques across various applications, from medical devices to fuel cells. Joseph holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis, and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Delaware.
