Programs Advocacy Support Worker at Daily Bread Food Bank

Caroline Owashaba is an experienced advocacy support worker at Daily Bread Food Bank since August 2023, focusing on volunteer recruitment, training, and conducting surveys to address food access, income disparities, and housing insecurities. In addition, Caroline leads the development and dissemination of research and advocacy initiatives aimed at systemic change. Previously, Caroline served as the Development Team Lead at Action for Youth Development Uganda, overseeing strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and project management. Additional experience includes roles as an Active Citizen Community Facilitator for the British Council, Camp Director for Innovations for Poverty Action, and Gender & Leadership Programme Lead for ACOYDE. Caroline is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Women, Leadership & Governance in Africa at the University of Nairobi and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Kyambogo University, alongside project management certifications from Schulich School of Business.
