Currently serving as the Editor of Maverick Life at Daily Maverick since October 2018, Emilie's previous roles include Group Brand Director at Associated Media Publishing, where a focus was placed on acclaimed publications such as Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire. As Editor-in-Chief at both ELLE South Africa and ELLE Decoration South Africa, Emilie demonstrated leadership in editorial direction. Additional experience includes managing editor roles at Marie Claire and a foundational role as Fashion Editor at Daily Maverick. Emilie has a Master of Arts in Documentary Production from the University of Cape Town and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Investment from Western Carolina University, along with a certificate in Drama from Cours Florent. Daily Maverick is a unique blend of news, information, analysis and opinion delivered from our newsrooms in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa. Every part of Daily Maverick is free-to-air and no-payment-required, although free registration is required for a small subset of functions and pages.
