Lauren Brey has a range of experience in the dairy industry, starting with their current role as the Director of Strategic Partnerships & Sustainability at Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative, a position they have held since 2014. In this role, they represent various dairy organizations at the state and national level, builds strategic relationships, and oversees sustainability projects and research initiatives.
Lauren also serves as the Managing Director of Farmers for Sustainable Food, where they lead sustainability projects.
Prior to their current positions, Lauren worked as the Director of Marketing and Research at Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative, where they developed market research objectives, designed customer surveys, and presented research information to the management team and board of directors.
Lauren's earlier experience includes roles such as Public Relations at Brey Cycle Farm LLC and Rosy-Lane Holsteins LLC, where they utilized their passion for the dairy community to handle social media and public relations.
Lauren also has experience outside of the dairy industry, having worked as a Scientist at BelGioioso Cheese, where they led the implementation of the Farmers Assuring Responsible Management program.
Additionally, they have held positions at Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin as a Communication & Outreach Assistant, at Clasen Quality Coatings as a Research and Development Intern, at Leprino Foods as a Production Intern, and at Crave Brothers Farmstead Cheese as a Marketing Assistant.
Lauren Brey attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2009 to 2013, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Lauren'sareas of study included Food Science and Life Sciences Communication.
