Shannan Young, RDN, SNS, possesses extensive experience in nutrition and education, currently serving as Officer Initiatives, Education, and Engagement at the Dairy Council of California since November 2012, where previous roles included Program Director and Senior Project Manager in Food Systems. Prior to this, Shannan worked as a Nutrition Education Consultant at the California Department of Education from November 2006 to November 2012 and as a Nutrition Specialist with the Elk Grove Unified School District for over a decade. Shannan holds a degree in Community Nutrition and Psychology from the University of California, Davis, earned between 1989 and 1991.
