Laura Symes

Laura Symes is a seasoned professional in environmental policy, currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at DairyNZ since January 2020. Prior experience includes roles as a Policy Advisor at DairyNZ and a Policy Analyst at the Ministry for the Environment from October 2018 to January 2020. Additionally, Laura worked as an Advisor in Strategy & Risk at the Environmental Protection Authority from July 2016 to July 2017 and served as a Resource Officer focusing on Farming Services at Waikato Regional Council between November 2014 and July 2016. Laura began her career as a Summer Student in Integrated Catchment Management. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Management from the University of Otago, obtained from 2011 to 2014.
