Gary Downey

Gary Downey has over 30 years of experience in engineering management roles. Gary is currently working at Daisy Brand as the Corporate Controls Engineering Manager. Prior to this, they worked at Tetra Pak Inc. as the Manager for Automation & Electrical Engineering in North America, overseeing a team of 16 engineers. Before that, they were the Manager for Power, Control & Information System Engineering at Procter & Gamble, responsible for managing a team of 5 engineers. Gary also has experience at Specialty Minerals Inc. as the Manager for Process Control & Automation, and at The Hershey Company as the Manager for Electrical & Control Engineering. Throughout their career, Gary has been responsible for budgeting, hiring, project assignments, performance management, training, development, and safety procedures. Gary has also been involved in the development and implementation of engineering specifications and has extensive experience with automation and electrical systems.

Gary Downey obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Ohio University. Gary also holds a certification in IT Service Management, specifically the ITIL Foundation Certificate, which they obtained from PEOPLECERT in June 2016.
