Astro Chella

Astro Chella began their work experience as an Audit Senior at Deloitte Zambia in 2000. They then moved on to KPMG Africa, where they worked as an Assistant Manager from 2002 to 2004. From 2005 to 2007, Astro Chella served as a Manager - Audit FS at Deloitte & Touche. In 2008, they joined Societe Generale as a Senior Business Auditor - VP, and later advanced to the position of Deputy Regional Chief Audit Executive in 2012. Astro Chella's most recent role is at Daiwa Capital Markets Europe Ltd, where they are currently working as Head of Internal Audit, starting in April 2021.

Astro Chella completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting and Finance from the Technological University of the Shannon, Athlone Campus from 1996 to 2000. In 2010 to 2011, they pursued an MSc in Finance from SOAS. Astro is currently pursuing an MSc in Global Central Banking and Financial Regulation from the University of Warwick, which they started in 2021 and is expected to complete in 2023. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as Chartered Internal Auditor CMIIA from the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors in 2019, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2008, and Chartered Certified Accountant from ACCA in 2003.
