Dr. Kai Westerwelle

Dr. Kai Westerwelle is a highly experienced legal professional specializing in privacy, data protection, tech transactions, and international business relationships. As a Partner at CMS since May 2024, Dr. Westerwelle focuses on compliance, intellectual property, and the international expansion of US companies, while leading the establishment of CMS's first US office in Silicon Valley. Previous roles include Partner at Bird & Bird, where Dr. Westerwelle co-founded the firm's US office in San Francisco and developed its strategy in the US market, and Partner at Taylor Wessing, with responsibilities for managing the US Group and co-founding its Silicon Valley office.
