Willian Santos

Willian Santos has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an Academic Tutor at UFMG in 2011. Willian then worked as an IT Consulting Intern at Accenture Brasil in 2013 before becoming an Invited Researcher at the University of Rostock in 2014. Later in 2014, they returned to UFMG as an Undergraduate Scientific Researcher.

In 2008, Willian took on the role of Physics Teacher at Pré-vestibular Atitude, a position they held until 2015. Willian also co-founded a startup called Classer in 2015, where they were responsible for building and validating the business model.

In 2016, Willian joined Suzano Papel e Celulose as a S&OP Analyst before taking on roles as a Business IT Analyst, Innovation IT Analyst, and Digital Marketing, E-commerce and CRM Analyst. Willian led the implementation of B2B e-commerce and CRM systems, as well as the company's digital transformation.

Starting in 2018, Willian joined Uber and worked their way up through various roles. Willian launched Uber Eats in multiple cities in Brazil and managed operations in two states. Willian also served as a Senior Strategy & Operations Manager, overseeing a team responsible for running operations in six states and executing projects such as a B2B delivery service.

In 2022, Willian became the Head of Growth Operations Latam at Uber, leading the growth area of Uber's Groceries & Retail business in Latin America. Willian managed a team across six countries and was responsible for building and executing the regional strategy.

Most recently, Willian joined Daki in 2023 as the Head of Operations.

Willian Santos has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Control and Automation from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, which they obtained between 2010 and 2015. Willian also completed a Leadership and Strategy program at Harvard Business School in 2019 and a program in Industrial Mechanics at Senai in 2006-2007. In terms of certifications, they obtained "Creating a Culture of Change" from LinkedIn and "Financial Management" from Insper in 2020. Willian also received a certification in "Learning Agility" from LinkedIn in 2020 and "Fundamentos do Adwords" from Google in March 2018. Willian is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, which they started in 2021 and is expected to complete in 2022.
