Jordan Wente has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2011, they worked as a Researcher at the Center for Small Towns. From 2012 to 2014, they served as a Data Analyst and later as a Project Data Analyst at the same organization. In 2013, they also worked as a Hired Hand at Brown Ranch. In 2015, they held the position of Field Organizer and Policy Analyst at Clean Up the River Environment, where they focused on promoting renewable energy standards and researching energy policies. They also worked as a Truman Fellow, Community Economic Development at USDA Rural Development, primarily focusing on mapping and GIS work. In 2016, they joined DTU - Technical University of Denmark as a Junior Consultant and later became an MSc Researcher. Their responsibilities included data analysis, statistical modeling, and energy systems modeling. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Research Analysis Specialist at the Minnesota Department of Administration, where they managed the roll out of the State's Sustainability Reporting Tool and provided technical analysis and support on renewable energies and energy efficiency measures. Currently, they are working as a Principal Data Analyst at Dakota Electric Association.

Jordan Wente completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of Minnesota-Morris. They studied Statistics from 2011 to 2014, Economics from 2011 to 2015, and Spanish Language and Literature from 2011 to 2015. Jordan then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Renewable Energy Systems Engineering from DTU - Technical University of Denmark, attending from 2015 to 2017.
