Kate Thompson

Kate Thompson is an experienced educational developer specializing in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) at Dalhousie University since August 2020. In this role, Kate supports instructors and academic departments through professional development initiatives, including the SoTL Scholars Program. Previously, Kate served as an Educational Developer focusing on online pedagogy, assisting faculty in integrating online learning strategies to enhance student engagement. Kate's background includes an instructional designer position at Bluedrop Training & Simulation from August 2015 to August 2020 and as an instructor for introductory psychology courses at Dalhousie University from 2008 to August 2015. Kate holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cognitive Psychology, a Master of Science (MSc) in Experimental Psychology, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology, all from Dalhousie University.
