Robyn McGowan

Robyn McGowan is a Graduate Student Researcher at Dalhousie University, focusing on the protein Pikachurin in the Agosto lab. Prior to this role, Robyn gained valuable research experience as a Summer Student Research Assistant in wet lab techniques and completed an Honours thesis on the pro-angiogenic effects of progesterone. Additionally, Robyn has served as a Senior Swim Instructor at The Aqua Life Swim Academy and was part of the Leadership Team at Camp Ouareau. Earlier experiences include a Research Student position at Dalhousie University, administrative work as a Front Office Assistant at McGowan Electric Ottawa, and camp counseling at Camp Ouareau, where professional development was emphasized. Robyn holds a Bachelor's of Science in Medical Sciences and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Physiology and Biophysics with a focus on retina research.
