Charnese Evans

Charnese Evans, LMSW, BCASE, currently serves as the Government Grants Project Director at Dallas Afterschool since February 2022 and is the Owner and Principal Advocate at Total Learning Connections since October 2021. Charnese has previous experience as a Reading Instructor at Readers 2 Leaders, Education Manager at Jubilee Park & Community Center, and Director of Special Initiative at Jonathan's Place. Additionally, Charnese founded Be a Genius Girl and held the role of General Programs Manager at Friends of Wednesday's Child. Early career roles include Social Services Program Specialist at The Salvation Army DFW Area Command, Closing Coordinator at Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity, and Outreach and Development Specialist at Crime Prevention Institute. Charnese holds a Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington.
