Kandace Walter

Kandace Walter serves as an Associate Clinical Professor and Director of the Small Business & Trademark Clinic at Southern Methodist University since August 2020, and has been the Managing Attorney at Walter Legal PLLC since January 2016, focusing on intellectual property protection. Additionally, Kandace has held the position of part-time Criminal District Court Magistrate in Dallas County since June 2018. Previous experience includes work as an Adjunct Professor at Collin County Community College teaching Intellectual Property, and as a Senior Associate Attorney at Wilson Legal Group, handling various aspects of intellectual property and commercial litigation. Early career roles included positions at the Dallas City Attorney's Office and the Dallas County District Attorney's Office, where responsibilities involved litigation, case preparation, and community legal strategies. Kandace earned a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and a B.S. in Chemistry from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
