Alejandro Bedoya

Alejandro Bedoya is a bilingual K-5 teacher currently working with the Dallas Independent School District since July 2023. Previously, Alejandro served as an English tutor at Universidad Pedagógica Nacional and as an English language teacher at Gimnasio El Hontanar, where responsibilities included developing interactive learning materials and leading seventh grade as a homeroom teacher. Experienced in applying the Teaching for Understanding model and the Common Core State Standards, Alejandro also taught English as a second language using the Cambridge international curriculum at Gimnasio Campestre Reino Británico, and contributed to high school education at Gimnasio los Alerces. Alejandro's early career included translation work for Compassion International. Alejandro holds a degree in education with a focus on English from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas.
