Alex Merritt

Alex Merritt has extensive experience in educational leadership and teaching, currently serving as Principal at the Dallas Independent School District since July 2020, where notable achievements include leading a team of teachers and earning distinctions for student performance in math and science. Prior to this role, Alex held positions as Principal Intern and 4th Grade Teacher at Eanes-Westlake Innovative School District, along with a lengthy teaching career at Trinity Episcopal School as a 5th Grade Lead Teacher. Alex's educational background includes a Master of Education in Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
