Demonterius Dorsey

Demonterius Dorsey serves as a Civic Voice Fellow at Leadership ISD since August 2024 and has been an Assistant Principal and Teacher at Dallas Independent School District since July 2019. Dorsey has demonstrated leadership experience by facilitating professional learning communities to analyze local and district assessment data for improving teaching practices and addressing student misconceptions. Additionally, Dorsey created a male mentorship program aimed at reducing student referrals in 4th grade while promoting positive school culture. Dorsey holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies-Education from Mississippi State University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration at The University of Southern Mississippi.
