Jamahl Mosley

Assistant Coach at Dallas Mavericks

Jamahl Mosley enters his sixth season as an assistant coach with Dallas. He has also previously served as the head coach on the Mavericks Summer League team that competed in Las Vegas. Prior to joining the Mavericks, Mosley spent four seasons as an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2010-14.

Before joining the Cavaliers in July 2010, Mosley spent five seasons with the Denver Nuggets He spent the first two seasons working in player developement/advance scouting, and moved up to assistant coach during his last three seasons. The Nuggets reached the playoffs each of those three years, winning 50 games or more, including winning the Northwest division twice and a trip to the Western Conference Finals in 2009.

Mosley was a four-year letterman at the University of Colorado from 1997-2001, where he is one of 33 players in school history to score over 1,000 points. Following his collegiate career, he played four seasons of professional basketball overseas: two years in Australia for the Victoria Titans, one year in Spain with Baloncesto Leon and one year in Korea.

A native of Milwaukee, Mosley served as an assistant coach at the 2018 USA Basketball Men’s National Team mini-camp. He has participated in Basketball Without Borders in Africa on several occasions. He and his wife, Kristina, have three children, Jemma, C.J. and Chance.
