Jason White

Director of Scouting at Dallas Mavericks

Jason White begins his 21st season, and ninth as director of scouting, with the Mavericks. White started with the Mavericks in 2000 as an assistant video coordinator and progressed to the role of basketball operations coordinator under Donnie Nelson. White served the 2010-12 seasons as the team’s director of player personnel, including during the Mavericks 2011 NBA title campaign. As director of scouting, White assists in the talent evaluation of collegiate and professional athletes. He coordinates pre-draft scouting efforts and organizes the team’s workouts of prospective draftees. White was born in West Point, New York, and attended high school in Cairo. He graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2000. While at SMU, he worked in the athletic department, serving as the video coordinator intern for the Mustangs basketball teams. White, his wife, Kiley, and their daughter, Emma, reside in East Dallas.
