Zach Guthrie joined the Mavericks coaching staff prior to the 2020-21 season after spending five seasons as a member of the Utah Jazz organization, the last four of which he served as an assistant coach. Prior to moving to Utah, Guthrie served as the manager of advanced scouting for the Orlando Magic (2012-15) and ascended to the role of assistant video coordinator in two years with the San Antonio Spurs. Guthrie got his start as a basketball operations intern with the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League in 2007 where he worked under coach Quin Snyder, with whom he reunited in Utah. A native of San Antonio, Guthrie graduated from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in business. He and his wife, Molli, reside in Dallas
