Jarrad Toussant

Jarrad Toussant's work experience includes being a Senior Vice President at the Dallas Regional Chamber since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at the Texas Education Agency from 2018 to 2021, where they held the positions of Division Director - College Career and Military Preparation, and Deputy Director - College Career and Military Preparation. From 2015 to 2018, Jarrad was a Deputy Director at Educate Texas. Jarrad also worked as a Lobbyist/Consultant at Texans for Education Reform / Leadership for Educational Equity from 2014 to 2015. In 2013, Jarrad served as a Vice President at Rocketship Education. Before that, they worked as a Senior Education Advisor at the Mayor's Office - City of Newark, NJ, from 2011 to 2013, where they led various initiatives such as establishing the Foundation for Newark's Future and developing the foundation's $200 million K-12 education investment strategy. From 2008 to 2011, Jarrad was an Executive Director at Citizen Schools, and from 2004 to 2008, they worked as a Development Director at Teach For America.

Jarrad Toussant's education history begins in 1997 when they enrolled at The University of Texas at Austin. Jarrad pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in the Plan II Honors Program, focusing on humanities and international relations. Toussant completed their undergraduate studies in 2002.

Following their bachelor's degree, Toussant decided to further their education and enrolled at Rutgers University in 2003. Jarrad pursued a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree and completed the program in 2005.

In 2009, Toussant returned to Rutgers, this time to their Business School, to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in marketing. Jarrad successfully completed the program in 2011, furthering their education in the field of business and marketing.
