Kavikondala started their career in 1994 with Tower Automotive. Kishen held various positions within the company over the next 8 years. In 2005, they joined TRW Automotive as Global Purchasing. Kishen was with TRW Automotive for 3 years before moving to VA Solutions Inc in February 2008. Kishen spent just over a year at VA Solutions Inc, where they were VP Business Development & Marketing, before joining SK International in September 2009.

Kavikondala has been with Dallas Venture Capital since 2010.

Kishen Kavikondala has a master of business administration from Purdue University and a bachelor of technology from Nagarjuna University.
