James Wang is an investor and advisor dedicated to supporting founders in technology, energy, and healthcare through his venture firm, Mimosa Ventures, which James founded in 2024. Previously, as VP of Finance at Preciate from 2021 to 2023, they managed financial operations and coordinated Series A funding. Earlier, James contributed to the growth of Alerian, where they served as Director of Data Science, architecting indices and analytics platforms that helped grow the company to over $20 billion in assets under management. James began their career in equity research at Raymond James and holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. They also actively mentor within the Dallas entrepreneurial community.
