Florin Vicu Rascanu

Florin Vicu RASCANU serves as Vice President at ANCONAV / The Romanian Shipbuilders Association since February 2025 and has been the Managing Director of Marine Engineering SRL Galati - DAMEN Shipyards Group since April 2006, overseeing a workforce of nearly 200 employees specializing in ship design and engineering. RASCANU holds positions on the Board of Directors at DAMEN Shipyard Galati and the Steering Committee for Engineering at the DAMEN Group Level, focusing on enhancing engineering quality and coordinating engineering activities across the group. With extensive experience at ICEPRONAV SA from 1994 to 2006 in various managerial and engineering roles, RASCANU has developed a strong background in project management, technical coordination, and client interaction, complemented by a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Universitatea „Dunărea de Jos” din Galați. Further education includes multiple certifications from CODECS Romania backed by Open University U.K. from 2005 to 2007.
