Geert Verheij

Geert Verheij is a seasoned professional in naval architecture with extensive experience in the maritime industry. Currently serving as a Senior Design & Proposal Engineer in the High-Speed Craft Department at Damen Shipyards since August 2011, Geert specializes in translating client requirements into competitive vessel designs. Previously, Geert represented the Dutch Association of Yacht Designers in ISO TC188 WG18, focusing on drafting structural standards for small craft, and worked as a Senior Naval Architect at Van Oossanen & Associates, contributing to designs for a variety of vessels, including mega-yachts. Geert's career began at De Voogt Naval Architects, where detailed structural designs for Feadship yachts were created. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Yacht and Small Craft Design from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture from Inholland University of Applied Sciences.
