Health Navigator at Damien Center

Rai Caraballo is currently a Health Navigator at Damien Center. Prior to this, they were an HIV Prevention Specialist Intern at Aliveness Project NWI from May 2021 to July 2021. There, they provided specialized HIV prevention education to the HIV prevention team and other community stakeholders. They also researched and created new topical education brochures on STD and HIV/AIDS prevention and safe sex practices. Additionally, they planned and implemented a live webinar about HIV and the resources that can aide in preventing the spread.

Before that, Rai Caraballo worked as a Sales Service Specialist at UnitedHealth Group from June 2020 to October 2021. They were promoted from Sales Representative Intern during their tenure. As a Sales Service Specialist, Rai Caraballo conducted health screenings for prospective customers and updated current protected health information. They also helped customers determine the best solution for their needs by using a consultative sales process.

Prior to their work in the customer service and health industries, Rai Caraballo was a Leasing Professional at Pierce Education Properties from November 2018 to May 2020.

Rai Caraballo has a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Education and Promotion from Ball State University. Rai is certified by the Global Health eLearning Center in Family Planning and HIV Service Integration, and by the Missouri Department of Insurance in Insurance Agent, Accident, Health, Life.
