Engineering Manager - Web, Mobile & Marketing at Damon Motors

Nima Hazar has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Nima is currently working at Damon Motorcycles as a Software Team Lead - Marketing, where they are responsible for the engineering strategy of marketing and sales. Their tasks include developing and delivering Damon's website and mobile app, as well as defining processes and maintaining a roadmap to support the company's fast-paced growth.

Prior to this, Nima worked at Salesforce for several years. Nima started as a Software Developer, where they integrated machine learning into Salesforce Analytics and built APIs and SDKs for developers. Later on, they became a Senior Software Development Engineer, focusing on building new user experiences in Salesforce's Einstein Data Discovery. Eventually, they were promoted to a Lead Software Engineer, leading the UI development for Einstein Discovery and infusing predictive and prescriptive insights into customers' workflows in Sales, Marketing, and Service.

Before joining Salesforce, Nima held positions at D&B Cloud Innovation Center as a Senior Software Engineer, MetaOptima Technology Inc. as a Lead Software Engineer, and The University of British Columbia as a Software Developer. At D&B Cloud Innovation Center, they worked on various software engineering projects. At MetaOptima Technology Inc., they developed and shipped a tele-dermatology web application. And at The University of British Columbia, they conducted statistical analysis and developed clustering algorithms for spike sorting and neuron clustering in the field of computational neuroscience.

Nima also gained valuable experience through internships at Facebook and Metafor Software, where they worked as a Software Engineer Intern and a Software Developer Intern, respectively.

Nima Hazar completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology between 2004 and 2009. Following this, Nima pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia from 2009 to 2012. Additionally, Nima has attained additional certifications in Bioinformatics Algorithms (Part 1) from Coursera in February 2015 and Computational Neuroscience from Coursera in June 2013.
