Divers Alert Network
Frauke Tillmans has a diverse work experience in various fields. Frauke started their career as a Training Assistant Scientific Diving at Universität Oldenburg ICBM Terramare in 2008 and held the position until May 2011. Frauke then worked as an Emergency Medical Technician & Training Director at Malteser from January 2009 to July 2011. From August 2011 to July 2014, they were a Research Fellow at Haute Ecole Paul-Henri Spaak. Frauke then joined the Naval Institute of Maritime Medicine (SchiffMedInst) as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant from August 2014 to April 2018. In February 2019, they started working as a Firefighter/First Responder at New Hope Fire Department (Orange County, NC), and they continue in this role. Frauke also serves as a Research Director at Divers Alert Network since May 2018. In addition, Frauke has recently taken up a role as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since July 2022.
Frauke Tillmans completed their education history with a PhD in Human Biology from Ulm University in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Biology from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg in 2009. Frauke started their academic journey by achieving a Vordiplom in Biology from The University of Göttingen in 2003.
