Mehdi Motealleh has a diverse work experience in the field of reservoir engineering and simulation. Mehdi is currently working as a Senior Reservoir Operation Engineer at Dana Energy since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at CAPE Consultant Engineers Group from October 2012 to July 2022, where they held several roles including Subsurface Technical Coordinator, Senior Reservoir Engineer / Dynamic Modeler, and Reservoir/Production Engineer. Mehdi also worked as a Dynamic Reservoir Simulation Lecturer at South Industrial Management Institute (SIMI) in August to November 2012. Before that, they served as a Reservoir Engineer (Military Duty) at the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) from January 2011 to May 2012.
Mehdi started their career as a Reservoir Engineer at PTPARSI Institute of Oil and Gas (POGI) in June 2009 and worked there until March 2011. During this time, they worked on projects involving Matlab coding of 3phase fluid PVT behavior, designing formation damage advisor and production forecast modules, conducting streamline simulation studies, and studying gas condensate PVT tests.
Mehdi also worked as a Researcher at the Core Flooding Laboratory of Research Center of Petroleum University of Technology (PUT) from July 2009 to March 2010, where they conducted core flooding tests for the enhancement of Naftshar Oil Reservoir's recovery method using water alternating CO2. Additionally, they served as a Dynamic Reservoir Simulation Lecturer at Shiraz Dibagaran Institute from August to December 2009.
Mehdi Motealleh has a Master's degree in Hydrocarbon Reservoirs Engineering from Islamic Azad University, Science And Research Branch, which they obtained from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Reservoir Engineering from the same university from 2004 to 2008.
Additionally, Mehdi has acquired several certifications, including "A Practical Course on Digital Oil-Fields" from Mr. Ashari, Dana Elevate, Tehran, Iran in May 2016, "Reservoir Modeling and simulation by Petrel RE" from Mr. Abdi, Cape Group, Tehran, Iran in May 2013, "Application of Excel VBA and Macro in Engineering" from Mr. Dinmohammad, Cape Group, Tehran, Iran in February 2013, "Pressure Transient Analysis (DDAI) and the use of Saphir software" from Mr. Joop de Wit, POGI, Tehran, Iran in August 2010, "Fluid Properties of Petroleum Reservoirs" from Research Institute of Petroleum Industry Tehran, Iran in December 2006, and "Reservoir Fluid Properties Estimation and PVTi Course" from Dr. Khadivi, IAU of Shiraz, Iran in May 2006.
