Jim Utech

Jim Utech is an experienced automation and controls specialist with a diverse background in engineering spanning over three decades. Currently serving as an Automation Specialist at Dana Incorporated since January 2023, Utech previously held positions as a Controls Engineer at Belcan and as a Senior Controls Engineer at MTIWelding, where responsibilities included the development and design of controls and software for linear friction welding equipment in the aerospace industry. Earlier in Utech's career, significant roles included Software Engineer at Milacron Inc and Electrical Engineer at Krauss Maffei, where Utech managed various engineering tasks including quoting, customer interface, and machine debugging. Utech's academic foundation was established at the University of Cincinnati from 1979 to 1988.
