Serkan Akcan

Serkan Akcan is an experienced professional with a strong background in operational excellence and service management within the healthcare industry. Currently serving as Area Service Director at Danaher Corporation since January 2022, Akcan previously held the position of Director of Operational Excellence at GE Healthcare, where a focus was placed on deploying Lean practices and collaborating with executives for strategy deployment across US and Canada sales and service organizations. During a long tenure at GE Healthcare from 2005 to 2019, Akcan was the Director of Service for the Healthcare Technology Management business, managing a $95 million portfolio and influencing substantial client negotiations. Akcan's career began in service operations and finance management, directly serving customers and supporting service directors. Academically, Akcan holds an MBA in Finance, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Boğaziçi University.
