Giannis Anastasiou

Giannis Anastasiou is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as Deputy Fleet Manager and New Building Project Supervisor at Danaos Shipping Co. Ltd since November 2020, overseeing hull, machinery, and paint projects. Previously, Giannis held the position of Fleet Technical Coordinator with the Hellenic Navy during military service from September 2019 to June 2020. Giannis also gained valuable experience as a Project Trainee at Liberoservices/LiberoAssurance from April 2017 to November 2018, focusing on Personal Protective Equipment, Lifesaving Appliances, ship knowledge, and hull inspection. Early career training included an Engineering Trainee role at Elefsis Shipyards in 2016, where Giannis learned about vessel docking, sandblasting, painting, and machinery maintenance. Giannis holds a degree from the National Technical University of Athens, completed in 2019, and graduated from the Hellenic American Educational Foundation Athens College - Psychico College in 2013.
